Curriculum

Experts from diverse sectors of leadership deliver rigorous,
innovative curriculum grounded in cutting edge research and practical experience.

The Iron Sharpening Iron leadership development program is designed to provide an opportunity for women to claim leadership identity that is rooted in agency and purpose. Working with strategic partners from across professions and fields of expertise, participants will be provided tools to assess and counter the subtle ways in which gender bias manifests itself in organizations and in women’s own self-understanding. More than just diagnostic, we will focus on the practice of concrete skills and capacities of effective leadership, including:

  • Designing Your Leadership Vision
  • Team Building
  • Design Thinking
  • Strategic Planning
  • Budget Basics and Fundraising
  • Navigating Conflict
  • Change Management

Further, in a classroom of female peers, women not only learn what they need to do but can reflect on who they are in the leadership roles they inhabit and seek. In other words, the central goal is not to make women more like male leaders, but to create an environment in which they can ground their leadership identity in a meaningful way.
